Meet Our Staff
James H. Fifield, CPA
Jim has been a certified public accountant since 1987 and opened his own CPA firm in 1989. He has more than 30 years of experience helping clients navigate the complexities of the IRS tax code. Specializing in the accounting and taxation needs of the small business, Jim offers the personal service owners need to effectively manage their operations. Before starting his own practice he spent 15 years in the real estate title industry, in the courthouse as a title examiner and in the office as company treasurer.
Jim graduated from Franklin University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1983. He is currently a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs.
He is an avid baseball fan and still enjoys playing softball. He and his wife, Linda, are big fans of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Brandon (Dong Hyun) Kim, CPA
Brandon just recently joined James H. Fifield CPA, Inc. in 2014. He has previously worked in for many years in public accounting dealing with business valuations, estate tax planning, audits and preparation of various tax returns and was also an assistant accounting manager for a national real estate property management company.
Brandon graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, majoring in accounting. He enjoys traveling and various excursions such as scuba diving.
Rae Sutherland
Rae began work as an accountant in her father’s real estate attorney’s office in 1999. She joined the Fifield family in 2015. Her primary responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, processing payroll, preparing and filing companies’ sales tax and commercial activity tax, along with individual and business tax preparation. Rae graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor’s degree in finance. Her favorite leisure-time activities include badminton and traveling with her husband and their two children.
Linda C. Fifield
Linda has been providing administrative services for the company since 2011. She handles the incoming phone calls during busy season and does most of the scheduling of appointments. She also works on data entry, tax return assembly, accounts receivable, and organizing files. Linda brings with her a positive and hardworking attitude, and always puts the clients first.
She is a Columbus native that enjoys spending time with her family, taking trips to Disney World, and cheering on the hometown NHL hockey team, the Columbus Blue Jackets.
